FAQ
How do I shut off a water heater?
Close the cold-water inlet valve on top. For electric heaters, turn off the breaker. For gas, turn the control to 'off' or 'pilot' as the label says. If you smell gas, leave and call the gas utility or 911.
AC is dripping from the ceiling. What now?
Turn the system off at the thermostat, put a bucket down, and call. The condensate line or pan usually needs clearing, and the ceiling needs drying.
Is a fridge-line leak a big deal?
It can be. A slow drip under a floor or cabinet can go unnoticed for weeks.
