Flash Flood & Monsoon Water Cleanup in Las Vegas
Sound familiar?
- Muddy water came in under the garage door or a slider
- Runoff pushed through or over a block wall into the yard and against the house
- Silt and debris left on tile floors after the storm
- Ceiling stains after wind-driven rain
If any of that is happening right now, call. We'll connect you with an independent local contractor.

Each contractor runs their own process and sets their own prices. A typical visit looks something like this:
- Check for safety issues first: electrical, gas appliances and structural concerns
- Pump or extract water and remove mud and silt
- Remove saturated materials that can't be saved, often carpet pad and the lower section of drywall
- Clean and sanitize surfaces that floodwater touched
- Dry with dehumidifiers and air movers, and confirm with moisture readings
Vegas factors
Storm season. Most of the Valley's summer thunderstorms come in July through September. They're often brief, but they can be intense, and caliche and hard-packed desert soil absorb little water, so runoff builds fast.
Flood control. The Clark County Regional Flood Control District runs a network of detention basins and channels. You can look up flood-zone information and storm resources at regionalflood.org. Streets and washes still carry water during storms, so never drive into a flooded road or wash.
Garages and block walls. Many Vegas lots are walled, and walls with blocked drainage openings can hold water against a house or let it surge through in one spot.
